The Trans Himalaya Birding Tour is a spectacular 17-day journey across some of the most diverse mountain habitats of northern India, travelling through Kinnaur, Spiti, Pin Valley and the Great Himalayan National Park. From lush cedar and conifer forests to high-altitude cold deserts, alpine valleys and riverine habitats, the tour offers an exceptional opportunity to experience the changing landscapes and birdlife of the Trans-Himalayan region.

The journey begins in the lower Himalayas around Chail, Narkanda and Sarahan, before entering the beautiful Baspa Valley of Sangla. The route then climbs into the stark high-altitude landscapes of Nako and Pin Valley, where focused birding explores remote cold-desert habitats. After crossing rugged mountain terrain towards Manali and Kullu, the expedition concludes with a dedicated GHNP birding trek, exploring the forests and alpine habitats around Rolla, Shilt and Kharongcha.
