An unforgettable 8-day Himalayan adventure through the Great Himalayan National Park, featuring alpine meadows, dense forests, rugged landscapes, and the sacred Tirath Glacial Lake.
The Marhauni GHNP Trek Loop is an immersive wilderness journey through the spectacular landscapes of the Great Himalayan National Park in Himachal Pradesh. Designed for adventure seekers looking to experience the quieter side of the Himalayas, this 5-day meadow and wilderness trek combines dense deodar, oak and pine forests, remote river valleys and expansive alpine meadows.
Starting from the traditional mountain village of Pekhri, the trail climbs steadily towards the beautiful Marhauni Meadows, where you camp amidst pristine Himalayan wilderness. The highlight of the journey is a rewarding excursion to Lakcha Thatch at approximately 3,800 m, offering magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges.
From the high meadows, the route follows a scenic descent through forests and mountain valleys to a peaceful riverside camp before continuing towards the Great Himalayan National Park Gate and Gushaini.
