The Shrikhand Mahadev Trek is an extraordinary high-altitude Himalayan pilgrimage and adventure journey through the dramatic landscapes of Kullu and Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh. Reaching an altitude of approximately 5,247 m / 17,195 ft, this challenging expedition combines demanding mountain trails, high-altitude camps, rugged terrain, alpine meadows and spectacular Himalayan panoramas.

Beginning with a journey from Delhi to the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, the expedition gradually progresses through remote villages and wilderness trails towards Kunsha Base Camp, allowing time for acclimatization and glacier training before the demanding summit day. The ascent to Shrikhand Mahadev is the defining highlight of the journey, involving a long and strenuous high-altitude trek before returning to base camp.

Following the summit experience, the route continues through remote mountain landscapes, traditional villages, meadows and the Bushleo Pass, eventually descending towards the Kullu Valley. The journey concludes with scenic drives and a heritage rail experience through Shimla and Kalka before returning to Delhi.

With its combination of pilgrimage, high-altitude adventure, wilderness trekking and cultural experiences, this is a demanding expedition designed for experienced and physically well-prepared trekkers.

Itinerary

Day 01 :
Ropa → Rolla

🥾 Trek Distance: ~9 km
⏳ Duration: 4–5 hrs trek
⛰️ Altitude: Rolla – 2,100 m
🌲 Begin the trek from Ropa village and follow the beautiful Tirthan River through dense deodar, pine and oak forests. Excellent opportunities for birdwatching and wildlife sightings.

Day 02 :
Rolla → Nada Meadow

🥾 Trek Distance: ~10 km
⏳ Duration: 5–6 hrs trek
⛰️ Altitude: Nada Meadow – 3,300 m
🏔️ Steady ascent through pristine Himalayan forests into the alpine zone. Reach the beautiful open grasslands of Nada Meadow surrounded by mountain ridges.

Day 03 :
Nada Meadow → Majhoni

⏳ Duration: 4–5 hrs trek
⛰️ Altitude: Majhoni – 3,800 m
🌿 Trek through high-altitude meadows and rocky terrain while enjoying panoramic views of the Great Himalayan National Park landscape.

Day 04 :
Majhoni → Tirath → Majhoni

🥾 Trek Distance: ~10 km Round Trip
⏳ Duration: 5–6 hrs excursion
⛰️ Highest Altitude: Tirath Region – ~4,000 m
❄️ Explore the sacred Tirath area known for its spectacular alpine scenery, glacial streams and rich Himalayan wildlife habitat before returning to Majhoni camp.

Day 05 :
Majhoni → Nada Meadow

⏳ Duration: 4–5 hrs trek
⛰️ Altitude: Nada Meadow – 3,300 m
🌄 Descend through scenic alpine grasslands while enjoying views of surrounding Himalayan peaks and valleys.

Day 06 :
Rest & Wildlife Exploration at Nada Meadow

⏳ Duration: Half to Full Day
⛰️ Altitude: 3,300 m
🐾 Dedicated day for wildlife observation, birdwatching, nature photography and exploring the rich biodiversity of GHNP's alpine ecosystem.

Day 07 :
Nada Meadow → Rolla

🥾 Trek Distance: ~10 km
⏳ Duration: 4–5 hrs trek
⛰️ Altitude: Rolla – 2,100 m
🌲 Descend through beautiful forests with chances of spotting Himalayan Monal, Koklass Pheasant, Musk Deer and other wildlife.

Day 08 :
Rolla → Ropa

🥾 Trek Distance: ~9 km
⏳ Duration: 3–4 hrs trek
⛰️ Altitude: Ropa – 1,600 m
🏁 Final descent to Ropa village. Trek concludes with unforgettable memories of the pristine wilderness, wildlife and alpine landscapes of the Great Himalayan National Park.
