Detailed Itinerary

Day 01 Barsheni (2200 Mts.) to Khirganga ((2850 Mts. 13 kms 4-5 hours)
Arrival Kullu Transfer to Barsheni by road. After a brief introduction to the staff we start the trek to Khirganga with our packed lunch enroute.The walk starts with a steep ascent after the bridge opposite Barsheni till village Daran. Along the stream up to Rudranag (a holy God) waterfall. Steep ascent up to 45 minutes to reach and then gradual walk (2-3 hours) to the thatch of Khirganga. Steep ascent up to campsite below Khirganga hot springs. Khirganga is a holy place with a hot water spring, small temple of Lord Shiva and a bathing tank. This is the last chance to take a hot water bath on the trek! O/N Camp Khirganga in dome shaped tents

Day 02 Khirganga (2850 Mts.)  -Tundabhuj (3200 Mts. 16 kms 6-7 hours):
Gradual walk for half and hour brings you to a steep ascent of 45 minutes and turns into a gradual climb crossing meadows after the dense forest. The last part is a steep walk to the campsite. Tundabhuj is the upper limit for the pine forests and now on there is an abundance of Bhoj (Birch) trees.. About 9000 feet high, Tundabhuj gets its name from the abundance of birch trees in the area. The camping ground has an ethereal feeling about it. (Imagine a table like structure bound on two sides the raging Parvati River running through deep ravines and surrounded on all sides by hills called the 'Pancha Pandavas’). O/N camp Tundabhuj

Day 03 Tundabhuj ((3200 Mts.) to Thakur Kuan to Pandu pul camp site 3600 meters: (6 hours walk) 
Walk starts with a gradual decent till the bridge and after a small steep hike one reaches high meadows gradually increasing to Thakur Kuan. This is marked by the remains of the Pin Parvati Project and after crossing the Parvati on a flying fox which brings you to the most amazing flower meadows and gradual steep walk until Pandu pul thatch. After a crossing of the landslide which has loose rocks this trails crosses two stone bridges of chota and bada Pandu pul. After a steep accent of 15 minutes after the bigger Pandu Pul one can camp. Day 04 Pandu pul to Odi Thach to Kahdi Dwari (5-hrs):
We cross large meadows with gradual ups and downs giving views of the morrain we have to climb to Mantalai where we meet a lot of Himalayan Shepard’s with their goats. Some minor stream crossings need to be done to reach the campsite. Just next to the campsite one can see a cold thermal which is quite impressive to view. O/N Camp

Day 05 Odi Thach to Mantalai Lake (4 Hours walk cum rest day)
Gradual ascent in rocky terrain to quickly reach the campsite. Acclimatization day/ height gain exercise after hot lunch. Introduction to equipment and mountaineering. If planning an extra rest day: Walks from Mantalai: One can go up to some amazing lake along the morrain area of the Mantalai lake. O/N Camp

Day 06 Rest Reserve Day
A day kept in this amazing trek as a reserve. May be used if the weather gets fowl or if there is any other emergency. The participants can relax, read, sing enjoy and do whatever they like before the big hike. O/N Camp

Day 07 Mantalai to Parvati base Camp(7 Hrs.)
Walk starts as a warm up walk which turns into a very steep ascent for 2 hours and then a gradual steep walk to camp at a rocky slope which gives one stunning views of the peaks surrounding the Pin Parvati pass. These peaks are virgin and unclimbed. Today’s trekking is challenging, over a glacier and loose screen slopes. O/N Camp

Day 08 Parvati Base Camp – Pin Pass crossing and Pin base camp (7-8 hours)
Dependent on snow conditions one cross to the barren slopes of the Spiti valley with steep decent on loose rocks. The view changes into colorful mountains. O/N Camp 

Day 09 Pin base Camp to Tia campsite (5-6 hours)
A long walk on rocky terrain along the Pin River giving spectacular views of the mountains of the Pin valley tia campsite. O/N Camp 

Day 10 Tia to Mud(5Hrs.)
One needs to start early to reach the big nala. This river crossing really swells post afternoon so it’s important to cross it at a good time and then the walk continues up to the first village of the Spiti valley called Mud.  Hot showers wait for you. Tour ends. O/N Home stay in Mud
